The first band Eric joined was The Roosters. Eric was asked to join the band following an audition / rehearsal at The Prince of Wales Pub in New Malden, England in January 1963. They disbanded in August 1963.

The Roosters did not have a bass player.
Eric’s next band was Casey Jones & The Engineers, followed by The Yardbirds.
