Alan Clark was born in Durham, England on 5 March 1952. He joined Dire Straits as a keyboardist in 1982. He and fellow Dire Straits member, Mark Knopfler toured with Clapton during the “Four-Piece” tour. Clark also recorded with Clapton in December 1989 for the Communion soundtrack.
