Eric Clapton did not tour as a solo act in 1971 and 1972. He spent much of the time in seclusion at his country estate deep in the throes of heroin addiction. Material recorded during this era is best in its officially released form — specifically, The Concert For Bangladesh and songs recorded for the aborted second Derek & The Dominos album which are included in the Crossroads Box Set.
