There was one particular guitar Eric wanted to buy back for personal reasons at the auction that took place in 1999. This was announced prior to the auction taking place at Christies. The guitar Eric was interested in was never revealed.
Eric later said he made the decision that if it went above a certain price he would let it go as he was raising money for Crossroads Centre.
He did not buy it back.
