In early 2007, Eric appeared on stage playing a white Fender Stratocaster with gold anondized scratchplate. It soon became known amongst fans as the “Christmascaster” or “Christmas Stratocaster.” It was a gift from his wife and four daughters at Christmas 2006. Fans in the audience have indicated it seems to be a standard production model and not an Eric Clapton Signature Stratocaster. Click here to view a photo of Eric playing it in Detroit in April 2007.
