Alternate Version Of Rolling Stones’ Brown Sugar With Eric Clapton To Be Released

On 25/26 May, the Rolling Stones will rerelease their classic 1971 album Sticky Fingers along with previously unreleased material and alternative takes of album tracks in a variety of formats. All of the deluxe editions will include the alternative version of “Brown Sugar” featuring Eric Clapton on slide guitar. The track was recorded at Olympic Studios, London on 18 December 1970 after Keith Richards’ birthday party.

Personnel on the alternate take are Mick Jagger (vocals), Keith Richards (guitar), Mick Taylor (guitar), Bill Wyman (bass), Charlie Watts (drums), Al Kooper (keyboards), Bobby Keys (saxophone) and Eric Clapton (slide guitar).

The track with Clapton will be available on the Deluxe 2CD, Deluxe Edition Boxset, Super Deluxe Edition Boxset, Deluxe Double LP Set, Deluxe Download and Super Deluxe Download formats.
