“Clapton Blues” Box Set Due 22 November

On 22 November, Warner Brothers / Reprise will release Clapton Blues, an Eric Clapton blues box set. The five vinyl LP collection will include the three albums From The CradleRiding With The King and Me and Mr. Johnson along with an exclusive lithograph of the cover image photo of Eric. This edition will be priced at $124.98 (US). Additionally, a limited edition version pressed on blue vinyl will be available only from EC’s official website, ericclapton.com. Pre-orders for the limited edition will begin soon. Additional details, including track lists for each of the LPs, will be forthcoming.

From The Cradle was EC’s follow-up to his mega-hit Unplugged. Remarkably, it was the first "blues-only" album recorded by Clapton during his solo career and consisted solely of blues covers. Critically acclaimed world-wide, From The Cradle debuted at Number One in the U.S. on Billboard Magazine’s Top 200 Albums Chart and its Blues Album Chart when released in October 1994. Six years later, EC teamed up with blues legend BB King for the Grammy Award winning, Riding With The King. It also reached Number One on Billboard’s Blues Album Chart and the upper half of the Top 200. On Me and Mr. Johnson, released in 2005, Clapton tackled 14 of the 29 songs written by Robert Johnson during his lifetime. Like its predecesors, Me and Mr. Johnson spent time at Number One on Billboard’s Blues Album Chart and peaked at #14 on the Top 200.
