Clapton & Friends Perform At Teenage Cancer Trust Benefit

Eric Clapton and Friends played to a packed Royal Albert Hall last night – 25 March 2003 – as part of a special week of concerts the London venue is hosting to raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust charity. Following a support set by Nigel Kennedy, Clapton took to the stage to belt out a mixture of EC classics, rock n’ roll staples and sample hits from his band members.

Joining EC on stage were Gary Brooker, Andy Fairweather Low, Henry Spinetti and Dave Bronze. When the concerts were initially announced, Clapton was slated to perform with Mark Knopfler. Knopfler was sidelined in March by a motorbike accident and was unable to perform.
