Clapton Performs With The Crickets

On 4 August 2004 at the House of Blues, Los Angeles, Eric Clapton was a guest performer at a very special musical evening. Coming hot on the heals of their CD, The Crickets – JJ Allison, Joe B. Maudlin and Sonny Curtis – performed with a few of the artists who lent their talents to their album, "The Crickets And Their Buddies". Eric performed his CD track, "Someone Someone" and added a fiery solo to complement his impassioned vocals. He remained on stage for "Fools Paradise" and "Think It Over". Albert Lee – Eric’s one-time second guitarist – played for the entire evening. Other special guests included Bobby Keyes, JD Souther, Tonio K, Rodney Crowell and Jessi Coulter. For those who may not be familiar with their work, The Crickets started their career as the backing band for legendary performer, Buddy Holly.
