Clapton / Winwood Tour Reaches West Coast

Eric Clapton and Steve Winwood have reached the west coast of the United States as their co-headlining tour winds down. The next-to-last performance took place at Oakland’s Oracle Arena on 29 June 2009. Like all of the shows on their tour, it was another no-holds-barred all-around great performance. Steve Winwood once again performed "Low Spark of High Heeled Boys" and "There’s A River" as "his" numbers. One fan emailed Where’s Eric! shortly after the show. Their brief comment said, "Clapton / Winwood and band … amazing. Biggest highlights among many for me were Steve’s Low Spark, Voodoo Chile and Cocaine. They started trading solos right from the opening song."

Eric Clapton’s and Steve Winwood’s 14-date U.S. tour wraps tonight (30 June) at the Hollywood Bowl. It opened 10 June at the Izod Center in East Rutheford, New Jersey.

Check out what fans have to say about the tour in this site’s "Tour Section". New reviews always being added!
