Cream Reunion: London Night Two

For those going to the Cream concerts later this week, this is a spoiler. If you don’t want to know the set list prior to the performance, it’s advised that you stop reading now.

Eric Clapton, Ginger Baker and Jack Bruce played the second of their reunion shows to a sold out crowd at London’s Royal Albert Hall on 3 May 2005. Here are some brief quotes from some who attended the gig:

"It was an emotional night for me to see and hear the three legends play together." – Norrie Flemming

"Different night, same setlist, but to this non-musician there seemed more fluidity. The first night under there belts (and what a reception they got!) they seemed to relax more together and start to ‘ping’ together more." – Phil Bunce

"They were different to 1968. No massive Marshall stacks, no free-form improvisations, no Gibson guitars, no ringing ears afterwards. Did it detract? Not at all! This was older and wiser Cream. The sound was vastly better and the playing just as good." – Nick Kernoghan

Full length fan reviews and more information will be posted in the Tour Section of whereseric.com for all of Cream Reunion Concerts.
