“Double Shovel” In Manchester: Peter Kay Joins EC On Stage

Eric Clapton’s 50 Years Further On Up The Road Tour stopped at the Manchester Arena on 14 May. Peter Kay – yes, Peter Kay – joined the band for the first encore number, “Sunshine Of Your Love”. But first, EC started the encore off with a little “double shovel” (check out the video, below). Eric also refreshed the set list at this show, reordering some songs, dropping “Wonderful Tonight” and introducing “Goodnight Irene,” “Tears In Heaven,” and “Nobody Knows You When You’re Down And Out” for the first time on this leg of the tour. No fan reviews, yet. It must have been quite a night in Manchester!
