Eric Clapton and His Band: Oslo and Stockholm Concert Details

Eric Clapton and his band continued their trek through Scandinavia with a concert at the Spektrum, in Oslo, Norway on 28 July 2006 and a concert at Globen, in Stockholm, Sweden on 29 July 2006.

Eric and his two guitarists – Doyle Bramhall II and Derek Trucks – tore up their fretboards on numbers like the 1974 smash hit "I Shot The Sheriff," "Got To Get Better In A Little While," "Everybody Oughta Make A Change," and "Layla." The shows also featured a sit-down acoustic set featuring "Back Home", the title track of Eric’s most recent CD, and more familiar songs like Derek & The Dominos’ "I Am Yours" and "Running on Faith" from "Journeyman" (1989).

Robert Cray joined Eric early in the set both evenings for "Old Love," which they co-wrote for Eric’s 1989 album, "Journeyman," and at the end of the set for "Crossroads." Chris Stainton’s piano solo on "Little Queen of Spades" was outstanding and one of the evening’s true highlights.

An identical setlist was presented at both concerts.
