Eric Clapton & His Band: Orlando Concert

On 20 October 2006, Eric Clapton brought his 2006 / 2007 World Tour to Orlando’s TD Waterhouse Center. The seventeen songs – with about a third drawn from the classic "Layla And Other Assorted Love Songs" – were arranged to allow ample time for soloing. Over the course of the tour, the band has worked the material into a solid groove. Radio hits "I Shot The Sheriff" and "Pretending" and "Wonderful Tonight" shared the setlist with classic blues like "Further On Up The Road" and "Nobody Knows You When You’re Down And Out."

One fan in attendance told Where’s Eric!, "The technical highlight of the night was on Motherless Children when Eric, Doyle, and Derek all came out with slides raging, it was the most intense 5 or so minutes I have ever witnessed … San Francisco Bay Blues, with Clapton on Kazoo and Doyle on harmonica, it seemed like they were having as much of a good time as I was." As with all previous shows on this leg of the US Tour, Robert Cray joined in on "Old Love" and the encore, "Crossroads". Cray opens at all shows.
