Eric Clapton & His Band Wrap Scandinavian Tour At Jyske Bank Boxen

Eric Clapton’s 4-date Scandinavian. Tour came to an end on 11 June at the Jyske Bank Boxen in Herning, Denmark. The tour started on 6 June in Helsinki, immediately after EC’s 11 night stand at London’s Royal Albert Hall and dates in Ireland and the UK. Early reports indicate a strong show by the entire band. Going Down Slow and I Shot The Sheriff were back in the 16 song set. For the first time since 2009, Lay Down Sally was included in the set list. It was performed during the sit-down acoustic portion of the show. I Shot The Sheriff, Old Love and Little Queen Of Spades were simply outstanding according to one fan who checked in shortly after the gig ended with Where’s Eric!

Support was the new wave / synthpop band The Mocks.

Next on EC’s schedule is a benefit concert with Pino Daniele on 24 June in Italy. After that, EC’s touring regimen goes on a multi-month hiatus before picking up in South America in early October. EC will end the year with a 12-date Japan Tour with Steve Winwood in November and December.
