Eric Clapton Kicks Off 2011 Touring in Abu Dhabi
[Updated] Eric Clapton performed at Yas Arena in Abu Dhabi on Friday 11 February for the first concert of his 2011 Tour. On the road with him are Chris Stainton (keys), Willie Weeks (bass), Steve Gadd (drums), Michelle John (backing vocals) and Sharon White (backing vocals). Tim Carmon (keys), has also rejoined Clapton's touring band. EC's gig kicked off a weekend of V8 Supercar racing and extreme sport demonstrations at th Yas Marina Circuit as well as the Yas Island international entertainment series. One fan in attendance told Where's Eric!, "EC played well with some excellent solos on 'Before You Acccuse Me', 'Layla' (seated with Gibson), 'Little Queen of Spades' and 'Crossroads'."
