Eric Clapton Nominated For Grammy Award

Clapton’s Handwritten Lyrics For Grammy Nominated Song To Be Included In Upcoming Charity Auction. 

Nominations for the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards have been announced in the U.S. by The Recording Academy. Eric Clapton received a nomination for Best Solo Rock Vocal Performance for "Run Back To Your Side." The track appeared on his 19th studio album, "Clapton," which was released in late September. Other nominees in the category are "Crossroads" by John Mayer, "Helter Skelter" by Paul McCartney, "Silver Rider" by Robert Plant and "Angry World" by Neil Young.

The handwritten lyrics to "Run Back To Your Side," autographed by Eric Clapton, will be auctioned off to benefit the Teenage Cancer Trust on 15 December in London by Bonham’s. The Teenage Cancer Trust funds special units in NHS Hospitals for young people undergoing cancer treatment. More information about the charity auction can be found by visiting Bonham’s Website.
