Eric Clapton & Wynton Marsalis: JALC Gala

On 7 April, Eric Clapton and Wynton Marsalis with special guest Taj Mahal teamed up for Jazz at Lincoln Center's Annual Gala. EC and Wynton Marsalis, who is the artistic director of JALC, previously performed together at the organization's 2003 fundraising event. The set list at the 2011 Gala was: Ice Cream, Forty-Four, Joe Turners Blues, The Last Time, Careless Love, Kidman Blues, Layla, Joliet Bound, and Just A Closer Walk With Thee. The encore was Corrina Corrina.

All three musicians perform at Jazz At Lincoln Center's Rose Hall on 8 and 9 April with a 7-piece band assembled by Wynton Marsalis from the Jazz At Lincoln Center Orchestra. Tickets to both performances are sold out.
