Mean Old Man: New CD from Jerry Lee Lewis Features Eric Clapton

On 7 September 2010, Verve / Universal Music Group will release two versions of Mean Old Man on CD by Jerry Lee Lewis. Some tracks were released last year as a digital EP of the same name. It’s now expanded to a 10-song physical edition and a special 18-track CD. Much like his previous album, Last Man Standing, Jerry Lee has also packed this one with guest stars. Eric Clapton and James Burton back The Killer on "You Can Have Her," which was one of the tracks on the digital release. The Rolling Stones figure prominently with Mick Jagger on "Dead Flowers," Keith Richards on "Sweet Virginia," and Ron Wood on "Mean Old Man." The latter was written for the project by Kris Kristofferson. Country legends Merle Haggard and Willie Nelson join Jerry Lee as do Ringo Starr, John Mayer, Slash and Kid Rock. The album was produced by Jim Keltner and Steve Bing.
