Music Never Sleeps DMF to feature Eric Clapton & Jan Vogler Performance

Performance by the two music giants was captured at the Dresden Music Festival in June 2019

The Dresden Music Festival is turning the internet into a concert hall this year. And, Artistic Director Jan Vogler is inviting music lovers around the world to tune into a 24-hour livestream festival on 16 May from 6 p.m. (CET) under the motto “Music Never Sleeps DMF”.

Even if the Dresden Music Festival cannot take place this year due to the corona virus pandemic, Music Never Sleeps DMF will bring a lively festival atmosphere into living rooms all over the world. In a 24-hour “livestream festival,” performances from more than 50 artists past and present who are connected to the Dresden Music Festival will be presented. The stream will be available worldwide at www.musikfestspiele.com.

Last year on 10 June, Eric Clapton headlined the closing concert of the 42nd Dresden Music Festival at the Messe Dresden. Jan Vogler, renowned cellist and artistic director of the festival, joined Eric on stage for a few numbes. Vogler is well known for including musicians from other genres in the classical music festival lineup. Their performance was recorded and will now be shared with a global audience during Music Never Sleeps DMF. Tune in Sunday 17th May at 17:45h CET (16:45h London time) to watch songs from that performance.
