Night 2 at The O2: Another Stunning Performance From Jeff Beck and Eric Clapton

Photos Added!!! Eric Clapton and Jeff Beck co-headlined their second night at London’s O2 on Sunday, 14 February 2010. According to early reports, it was another stunning performance. Like the first evening, Jeff Beck and his band started things off with a set lasting about 45 minutes. At this performance, Jeff was joined by vocalist Imelda May for "Lilac Wine" and Sharon Corr was again featured on violin on "Mna Na Heireann." The latter was worked up especially for these concerts. Jeff changed his set around a bit and finished up with "Nessun Dorma".

Eric then took to the stage alone with his guitar and opened his portion of the concert with "Driftin’". Like Jeff, Eric changed his set list around a bit, too. Gone were radio perennial "Wonderful Tonight" and the "unplugged" take on "Layla". "Crossroads" was moved out of Eric’s solo set to the end of the show, but was not performed according to a fan who obtained a copy of the evening’s printed set list. The EC / Jeff set did not change. Eric, Jeff and their bands now head off to America for two shows Thursday and Friday at Madison Square Garden. But, before they happen, Eric teams up with Yoko Ono, Klaus Voorman and others as the Plastic Ono Band reforms for a one-off concert at the Brooklyn Academy of Music Tuesday evening.
