Whereseric.com Launches Eric Clapton Photo Gallery

The Where’s Eric! Team has rolled out a brand new Eric Clapton Photo Gallery on whereseric.com with pictures from the 1960s to the present day. A year in the making, this archival photo section has over 1,200 images that represent all aspects of Eric Clapton’s legendary career. In addition to fans’ "in concert" photographs categorized by decade, there are individual galleries of picture sleeves, posters, concert tickets, programmes, VIP and crew passes, as well as galleries devoted solely to the Clapton / Winwood Concerts, the 2005 Cream Reunion and the three Crossroads Guitar Festivals. You can even see pictures of who reads Where’s Eric! Magazine.

In building this new section of whereseric.com, the WE! Team relied on the magazine’s extensive archives, the personal collections of staff members and regular contributors, as well as photographs submitted through the years by fans around the world. More photos and galleries (including ones dedicated to EC’s guitars and memorabilia) will be added in the future.

Clicking on the button labeled "Photos" opens the main page of the section where each gallery is represented by a single image. Click on that picture to open the gallery and see all of its "thumbnail images". From there, clicking on any thumbnail image within a gallery will automatically open the full image in a "lightbox". Toggle between images in lightbox mode by hovering your mouse over the top right and top left of the picture until the > or < appears. Click the arrow to move to the next image in either direction. (By the way, lightbox works for all images on whereseric.com, including news articles and the EC FAQ.)

DO YOU HAVE PHOTOGRAPHS OF EC ON STAGE OR OFF? WHAT ABOUT TICKETS, HANDBILLS, POSTERS, PROMOTIONAL PHOTOS, PROGRAMMES OR PASSES? SEND THEM TO WHERE’S ERIC! AND HELP EXPAND THE PHOTO GALLERY. Where’s Eric! invites all Eric Clapton fans to submit their best pictures to info@whereseric.com for inclusion in the online photo gallery. Photographic prints (pre-digital age), tickets, handbills, programmes or other ephemera should be scanned at a minimum of 200 DPI. Digital photographs should be high-resolution; image files 500K and up preferred. Sending the original, unedited photo is best. Please include where and when you took the picture along with your name so you can be credited. Only submit your own photographs or those you have the right to share. Do not send pictures you may have scanned from magazines or books or images you may have copied from other websites as they cannot be published due to copyright restrictions.
