Review by Eddy Saniez / France
It's the first time for Eric in Zenith Arena, maybe the first also in Lille (not sure..). Robert Cray Band has opened as usual with his perfect professionnal style. I think the set list was a little bit different as Paris show. The atmosphere was great and everybodys enjoyed the first act.

The break was long, I think Lee Dickson (EC guitar tech) has had some trouble with Eric's powered amp (Leslie Cab ?) but with no consequences. The set list was strictly the same as Paris Bercy except "Everybody Oughta.." came back and Robert Cray did "Old love" & "Crossroads" (encore). Highlights were slightly different compared to yesterday, Milkow Blues was magical with the 3 powered slide guitar players. Special mention to Got to get better...very funky. Tim Carmon did his strange sounds on "Old love" & "Cocaine". Eric broke E string on Old love, his solo was better than i ever heard..."Nobody knows" and his new orleans ambiance was also apreciate by all the audience. I have notice some confusion during "After Midnight", The "Layla" final act was supported by a great Derek Trucks contribution. Great duet by Eric and Derek on "Everybody Oughta make..."

Regarding Doyle technical playing, I can confirm Doyle is playing left with strings on the opposite order, i'm also playing like that.
Well that's the end of the road for me on this Tour , it's been a pleasure to see again Eric & all the guys. I have rediscovered some old tunes, specialy Dominos songs . Merci Eric, Derek & Doyle to have been here , in Lille !
