- EC Performs At Bunbury’s Party In London on 8 May
- (Updated) Eric Clapton took the stage at a special Bunbury's Party held in London on 8 May 2008. The evening was in honour of Sir Ian "Beefy" Botham, former England Test Team Captain and holder of several Test cricket records as an all-rounder. But, the legendary cricketer has also been a tireless fundraiser for Leukaemia Research. Sir Ian has also been a part of The Bunbury Pro-Celebrity Cricket Club since their inception 22 years ago. Having put down his cricket bat in August 2003, Eric Clapton picked up his guitar for this year's party and performed a twelve song set. Lots of celebrities from the sporting and entertainment worlds were in attendance, including Bill Wyman, Charlie Watts, Sir Viv Richards, Allan Lamb and Sam Fox. Read entry

- Clapton Rocks The Hard Rock!
- (Updated 7 May) Eric Clapton and His Band took to the stage at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida on the evening of 5 May. The set list changed slightly from night one of the tour. Drifting replaced Nobody Knows You and the encore was changed from Crossroads to I've Got My Mojo Working. - Eric Clapton Kicks Off Summer Tour In Tampa Bay
On Saturday 3 May, Eric Clapton kicked off the U.S. / Canada portion of his tour. Opening night was at the Ford Amphitheatre in Tampa Bay, Florida. Eric's band for this summer tour has both new personnel and familiar faces: Doyle Bramhall II (guitar / vocals), Chris Stainton (keyboards), Pino Palladino (bass), Ian Thomas (drums), Sharon White (backing vocals) and Michelle John (backing vocals). The show, which lasted about two-hours, included many of Eric's well-known songs including, "Tell The Truth", "Little Wing", "Double Trouble", and "Running On Faith". - Eric Clapton: A Surprise Guest At Sheryl Crow’s Concert
South Florida's "Sunfest" opened on Wednesday, 30 April. Held in downtown West Palm Beach, this year's festival takes place from 30 April thru 4 May. The opening night lineup included Michael Franti & Spearhead, George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic and headliner, Sheryl Crow. During Shery's set, Eric Clapton was a surprise guest. - Eric Clapton and His Band are getting ready to embark on a 27 date summer tour of the eastern U.S., Canada and Europe. The U.S. leg kicks off 3 May in Tampa Bay, Florida and ends 5 June in Wantagh, New York. The European gigs take place in late June and August. - Sonny Landreth will release his ninth album on 20 May. From The Reach features lots of star power star power: Eric Clapton, Jimmy Buffet, Vince Gill, Mark Knopfler, Robben Ford, Eric Johnson and Dr. John. EC is featured on two tracks.
