Eric Clapton and his band performed in Verona Arena on 10 July, finishing up a short three-date tour of Italy. The crowd was still in a celebratory mood following Italy's World Cup win over France the previous day. Songs from Eric's most recent CD, "Back Home" were performed alongside radio staples like "Pretending", "Layla" and "Wonderful Tonight". Eric stretched out and soloed on numbers like "Got To Get Better In A Little While" and "Little Queen of Spades." As fans left the venue, the road crew was hard at work preparing to move the gear to Locarno (Ticino), Switzerland. Eric Clapton performs there on 11 July during the 2006 Moon and Stars Festival.
