George Harrison's 'Concert for Bangladesh' will be released on DVD soon.

Warner Music Group will release the historic concert on October 24th.

'Concert for Bangladesh' was one of the world's first benefit concerts. George Harrison gathered his friends Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, Ringo Starr, Billy Preston, Leon Russell and Ravi Shankar for the concert at New York's Madison Square Garden on August 1, 1971.

The concert raised money for the starving people of Bangladesh. "George and his friends were pioneers" United Nations Secretary-General Kofi Annan said about Harrison.

The DVD will include never before seen footage including George and Bob Dylan performing 'If Not For You' at rehearsal, Harrison, Eric Clapton and Leon Russell performing 'Come On In My Kitchen' at sound check and a Bob Dylan performance of 'Love Minus Zero/No Limit' not included in the original film.

Proceeds from the CD and DVD will go to UNICEF.
