Songwriters Hall of Fame

Eric Clapton was inducted into the Songwriters Hall Of Fame on 14 June 2001. The awards dinner took place in New York City. Other inductees that year were Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton, Diane Warren and Paul Williams.

The National Academy of Popular Music / Songwriters Hall of Fame is based in the United States. It was founded in 1969 and is dedicated to recognizing the work and lives of composers and lyricists who create popular music around the world.
