In the early 1990s, Eric was interviewed for the UK Television programme The South Bank Show for a documentary about the history of the traditional Irish song “Danny Boy”. It's orginal broadcast date on ITV is unknown. Eric's segment was filmed at Olympic Studios, London. He performed an instrumental version of "Danny Boy" on acoustic guitar. Entitled “Danny Boy”, the show also aired in America on PBS television stations for several years, usually around St. Patrick's Day. It was available for a brief time in the U.S. on VHS.
Eric Clapton's instrumetnal version of “Danny Boy” has never been released on a full-length CD . However, it was included as a bonus track on his1992 CD single “Change The World”.
