This unique one-night event celebrated the release of Zucchero's new album of duets, called "ZU & COmpany". As this is a benefit concert in aid of the United Nations UNHCR Fund, each ticket included a special commemorative programme, proceeds from which will go to the UNHCR.
This concert had reunitee Zucchero with many of his close friends, plus
guests that feature on the "ZU & COmpany" album.
Artists which appeared : Luciano Pavarotti, Solomon Burke, Ronan
Keating, Cheb Mami, Mousse T, Dolores O'Riordan of the Cranberries,
Paul Young as well as Eric Clapton.
Eric was introduced on stage by Zucchero as "the artist he loves most in the world" and provided some very fine and sweet guitar playing (no
singing) in a couple of Zucchero's songs: "Hey Man" and "Wonderful World". Eric was very casually dressed, wearing blue jeans and shoes and a blue sweater, and used the latest Crash, multi-coloured guitar model.
The italian TV RAI2 showed the entire show.
The concert will be released on dvd in december 2004.
