VHS / DVD

Tommy is a 1975 musical film based on The Who’s rock opera,  Tommy (1969). In the film, Eric Clapton plays  The Preacher , the leader of a faith-healing pop cult worshipping Marilyn Monroe and performs  Eyesight To The Blind during this sequence. The VHS, issued originally in the 1980s is long out of print. It was re-issued in 1999 on DVD.
