Clapton Cologne Concert: 13 July 2006

Eric Clapton and his band performed for enthusiastic fans in Cologne on 13 July 2006. Before World Cup play got underway in Germany, Eric played shows in Berlin, Leipzig, Stuttgart and Frankfurt in June. Similar to those concerts, the Cologne crowd was treated to a setlist that touched on many facets of Eric’s recording career. Newer songs performed included “So Tired” and “Back Home” (from the 2005 CD “Back Home”). According to one concert-goer, this evening’s standout numbers were “Got To Get Better In A Little While”, “Little Queen of Spades” and “Crossroads”, which was the encore and performed with Robert Cray. He also joined Eric on stage early in the set for “Old Love”.
