EC Band Lineup Change For Spring Shows

Due to Michelle John’s continued success on The Voice UK, Sharlotte Gibson will be stepping in for Eric Clapton’s Spring Concerts. Michelle won her recent Battle Round as part of Team will.i.am and now moves on to the live knockout rounds of the show.

Sharlotte has her family roots in New Orleans and has forged a career as a singer and songwriter. Sharlotte spent six seasons on American Idol to performing and recording with Whitney Houston, Stevie Wonder, Dolly Parton, Queen Latifah, Mariah Carey, Christina Aguilera, and Kelly Clarkson.

Starting out singing with local Los Angeles rock bands, Sharlotte went on to perform and record with countless iconic artists.  Staying true to her love of rock music she shared stages with legends Neil Young, Steven Tyler, Sting, Elton John and Jeff Beck among others. To this day, a career highlight is having been featured along with Trent Reznor and Lisa Fischer joining the Nine Inch Nails Tension Tour.

In six seasons of American Idol Sharlotte sang with the band, supporting idols like Carrie Underwood, Jordin Sparks and newest winner Nick Fradiani. She also worked as a vocal producer for the iTunes recording sessions, helping to get the best vocals from season 13 winner Caleb Johnson, Jena Irene and Jess Meuse. She has been featured on numerous late night US TV appearances on The Tonight Show, David Letterman, Conan O’Brien and Jimmy Kimmel. Favorite television performances include The Oscars with Rita Ora, Grammys with John Legend and John Mayer, and the Emmys with Weird Al Yankovich.

Sharlotte has sung on hundreds of records, has been producing and arranging vocals for years, and has worked with some of the top producers of rock, pop, R&B and country music including Quincy Jones, Glen Ballard, David Foster, Babyface, Jack Douglas, Randy Jackson, Josh Homme, Rodney Jerkins and Jermaine Dupri. She co-authored and performed the original theme song for The Ellen Show. She has also performed her original music in Europe.
