Eric Clapton, Bill Wyman & Ringo Starr To Help Celebrate Bunbury Cricket Club’s 25th Anniversary

Dr. David English CBE and the Bunbury Cricket Club have announced that Eric Clapton & Friends, Bill Wyman & The Rhythm Kings along with special guest Ringo Starr will headline the organization’s 25th Birthday Ball on 7 May 2011 at the Grosvernor House Hotel, London W1. Also helping celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the Bunbury Celebrity Cricket Team will be host Rory Bremner, Jonny Gould, Jeffery Archer and DJ Lora. Many past and present Bunbury Team members will be on hand, along with England stars Andrew Flintoff, Nasser Hussain, Mark Ramprakash, Alastair Cook, Graeme Swann and many more. The black-tie event reception begins at 7PM, dinner at 7:30PM and carriages at 3AM. Funds raised at the event will support the English School’s Cricket Association, Crossroads Centre Antigua and the AF Foundation.

Since its inception in 1986, the Bunburys have raised well over 12 million pounds for charities. Both Eric Clapton and Bill Wyman have been long-time supporters of the Bunbury Cricket Club both on the pitch and off. EC has loaned his musical talents many times performing at post-cricket concerts in the eighties, recording a song with the Bee Gees for the Bunbury’s charity album, and headlining the annual gala in 2008 and 2009.
