Eric Clapton To Get “Icon” Treatment From Universal Music

Universal Music Enterprises (UMe) has announced that the latest discs in their Icon "best of" series will be released in the U.S. on 5 April. Eric Clapton, along with B.B. King and The Who, will get both the single disc and 24-track double-disc treatment. The single disc Clapton Icon edition will focus on EC’s time in Derek and The Dominos and more well-known songs from his early solo career. The double disc adds tracks from Cream, Blind Faith and digs deeper into EC’s pre-1981 solo catalog.
