Eric Clapton: The Nordic Countries 2011

June 6th …. Helsinki – Hartwall Arena (Finland)
June 8th …. Stockholm – The Globe (Sweden)
June 9th …. Oslo – Norwegian Wood Festival (Norway)
June 11th … Herning – Jyske Bank Boxen (Denmark)

Legend and super guitarist Eric Clapton plays a few exclusive shows in the UK in May – no less than six nights at London’s Royal Albert Hall – followed by four concerts in the Nordic countries during the month of June.

Last summer Eric Clapton went on tour with Steve Winwood, and many Scandinavians travelled to Malmo to see the duo’s one and only Nordic concert. The trip was well worth their while for the many fans that had a truly terrific evening.

Eric Clapton is back on the road again this summer, this time without Winwood but with an impressive team of musicians which we can only look forward to experiencing live: Steve Gadd (drums), Willie Weeks (bass), Chris Stainton (keyboards) and Michelle John and Sharon White (backing vocals).

Both fans and reviewers are raving about Clapton’s new album with the laid-back title ’Clapton’. On the album he’s in the company of some prominent playmates, ranging from JJ Cale and Steve Winwood to Sheryl Crow to Allen Toussaint. The result is a relaxed collection of brand new songs and relatively unknown blues- and country songs – an album like no other Clapton album during his 5 decades long career. ’Clapton’ is the 19th album from the legendary guitarist.
