Eric Clapton To Participate In U.S. Hurricane Relief Show On CNN

It was announced on Friday that Eric Clapton will participate in a three-hour CNN Television Special hosted by Larry King on Saturday, 3 September 2005. The show will air on the U.S. cable channel from 8PM to 11PM.

The goal of the show is to not only aid Hurricane Katrina relief efforts, but assist people trying to locate loved ones who are missing.

Othe celebrities scheduled to appear include Harry Connick Jr., Celine Dion, Bill Cosby, John Goodman, LeAnn Rimes, Clay Aiken, Magic Johnson and Terri Hatcher.

Numerous representatives of various relief agencies, such as the American Red Cross, the Mercy Corps, Habitat for Humanity, the Salvation Army, Second Harvest, the International Medical Corp are also slated.

The show will be simulcast on CNN International and CNN Radio. Special “How You Can Help?” coverage will also be featured on www.cnn.com.
