Europe 2020: Kurt Rosenwinkel To Open For Eric Clapton in 4 Cities

Kurt Rosenwinkel, who performed at Eric Clapton’s 2013 and 2019 Crossroads Guitar Festivals, will head out on the road with the guitar legend in late June. Kurt Rosenwinkel’s Caipi Band will warm up audiences in Antwerp, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, and Helsinki during Leg Two of EC’s 2020 European Tour.

A native of Philadelphia, the renowned jazz guitarist first appeared on the New York music scene in 1991. Since then, he has collaborated with more than 150 diverse artists including EC, Q-tip, Gary Burton, Paul Motian, Joe Henderson, Brad Mehldau, and Donald Fagen. Kurt also has 11 solo albums under his belt. The most recent, Caipi, was released in 2017. Ten years in the making, the disc is his most personal record to date. On Caipi, Kurt played all the instruments with the company of guests Amanda Brecker, Mark Turner and Eric Clapton. More recently, Kurt was involved as a producer and guitarist on Pedro Martin’s “Vox” and released “Searching The Continuum” with his Bandit 65 trio in December.
