Grammy Nomination For Eric Clapton & J.J. Cale

Eric Clapton and J.J. Cale have received a Grammy Nomination for Best Contemporary Blues Album (Vocal or Instrumental) for "The Road To Escondido". Other nominies in the category are "Into The Blues" – Joan Armatrading, "Is It News" – Doyle Bramhall, "Truth" – Robben Ford and "The Scene Of The Crime" – Bettye LaVette.

"The Road To Escondido" was released on 7 November 2006 by Reprise / WEA.

Eric Clapton has previously won or shared in 18 Grammy Awards.

The 50th Annual Grammy Awards will be announced on 10 February 2008 in Los Angeles by the Recording Academy. The ceremony will be broadcast live in the U.S. by CBS Television (8P-11:30P ET / PT).
