Limited Edition 000-ECHF C.F. Martin Guitar To Be Available

C.F. Martin & Company will issue a limited edition acoustic guitar co-designed by Eric Clapton and Hiroshi Fujiwara, a renowned Japanese DJ, composer and fashion designer. It is the fifth in a suite of Eric Clapton / C.F. Martin models. It has been designated 000-ECHF and will be available in January 2005.

C.F. Martin & Company initially built eight of these unique custom guitars. One can be seen on the cover of Eric’s newest CD, “Me & Mr. Johnson.” This model served as Eric’s main stage acoustic during his 2003 Japan Tour and his European and US 2004 Tours.

Named the “Bellezza Nera” model by Eric (from the Italian: “bellezza” meaning beautiful and “nera” meaning black), the body is of solid Indian Rosewood and Italian Alpine Spruce in gloss black finish. It has a modified V-shape neck, bound ebony fretboard (24.9″ scale, 1 3/4″ nut width) with “45-style” snowflake inlays and “Bellezza Nera” at the 20th fret. A black inside label is signed by Clapton, Fujiwara, C.F. Martin IV and Martin Artist Relations director Dick Boak.
