Turn Up From Home Episode 6 Debut Plus Live Zoom Event 4 July

Episode 6 Features Performances from Ivan Neville, Doyle Bramhall II and Sheryl Crow
Plus Special Zoom Concert: Chris Difford Live From His Writers Garden in Sussex

Turn up for Recovery is a charitable movement raising awareness of abstinence-based recovery, tackling the stigma of addiction and helping make treatment affordable to people struggling with alcohol and drug addiction. Founded by Melia Clapton, she announced the movement during Eric Clapton’s 2019 Crossroads Guitar Festival.

On 4 July, Turn Up For Recovery will be bringing music fans around the world two very special events.

At PDT 11:00am, EDT 2:00pm and BST 7:00pm, Episode 6 of the Turn Up From Home concert series will debut on TUFR’s YouTube Channel. The episode features Ivan Neville, Doyle Bramhall II and Sheryl Crow.

The Turn Up From Home concert series was launched by TUFR in response to the Coronavirus Pandemic. New episodes of Turn Up From Home are posted at www.youtube.com/turnupforrecovery. One hour later, at PDT 12:00pm, EDT 3:00pm and BST 8:00pm, Chris Difford from Squeeze gives music fans an opportunity to ask questions and pick the songs he performs Live From The Writer’s Garden. Chris has so far raised thousands of pounds for U.K. charities with these online events. One hundred percent of the proceeds on 4 July will go to Turn Up For Recovery. This event takes place on Zoom and requires pre-registration. Details about pre-registration can be found here.

ABOUT THE PARTICIPATING MUSICIANS:

IVAN NEVILLE is an American multi-instrumentalist musician, singer, and songwriter. He has released four solo albums and had a Top 30 Billboard hit with his very first single, “Not Just Another Girl.” His second single “Falling Out of Love” – a duet with Bonnie Raitt – was also a hit. Ivan has worked with Don Henley, Bonnie Raitt, Robbie Robertson, Rufus, Paula Abdul, and Delbert McClinton, and was a member of the Spin Doctors. In 2003, he formed the funk and jam band Dumpstaphunk. Ivan is the son of Aaron Neville and nephew to members of The Neville Brothers. Learn more at http://dumpstaphunk.com/

DOYLE BRAMHALL II: Vocalist, guitarist, composer and producer Doyle Bramhall II is well-known for his high profile work with Eric Clapton, Roger Waters, Elton John, Sheryl Crow and more. The son of late Texas music legend Doyle Bramhall was raised in Austin. He hit the road as a teenager with Jimmie Vaughan’s band, The Fabulous Thunderbirds. In 1990, he formed the Arc Angels with Charlie Sexton, Chris Layton and Tommy Shannon. His first solo album, “Doyle Bramhall II” arrived in 1996 but it was his second disc, “Jellycream,” that brought him to the attention of Clapton and Waters in 1999. Since then, he has regularly worked with Eric in the studio and on stage. Doyle took part in the 2004, 2007, 2010, 2013 and 2019 Eric Clapton Crossroads Guitar Festivals.  His most recent album is Shades.  Learn more at https://www.db2music.com/

SHERYL CROW: Musician, singer, and songwriter Sheryl Crow has released ten studio albums and two live albums and has been awarded nine Grammy awards over the course of her career. Her first hit single – “All I Wanna Do” – brought her international fame in 1994. Her most popular songs include the follow-up singles “Leaving Las Vegas” and “Strong Enough” in 1994 plus “If It Makes You Happy,” “Everyday Is a Winding Road,” “My Favorite Mistake,” “Soak Up the Sun,” “The First Cut Is The Deepest,” and “Picture,” her 2002 duet with Kid Rock. In April, she released the single “Lonely Town, Lonely Street” that she recorded with Citizen Cope and Steve Jordan in tribute to Bill Withers. Sheryl has collaborated with Eric Clapton in the studio and on-stage since the late nineties.  She performed at the very first Crossroads Concert in 1999 and at the 2007, 2010, and 2019 Crossroads Guitar Festivals. CHRIS DIFFORD:  One of the founder members of Squeeze, Chris is a Grammy nominated and double Ivor Novello Award winning lyricist. With his collaborator, Squeeze co-founder Glenn Tilbrook, Chris has written some of the most enduring and best-loved songs of our time such as ‘Up The Junction’, ‘Cool For Cats’ and ‘Labelled With Love’, ‘Tempted’ and many others. He has written songs for Helen Shapiro, Billy Bremner and Elvis Costello and written lyrics for music by Jools Holland, Elton John, and Wet Wet Wet to name a few. For more than 25 years, he has hosted songwriting retreats at prisons, rehab centers and with the Buddy Holly Foundation at Pennard House in Somerset.
